Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Drypp (“the app”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use our mobile application on iOS and other platforms. Drypp is designed so that your financial overview stays on your device.
1. Data controller
Drypp is operated by the Drypp project team. For privacy inquiries, contact support@dryppapp.com.
2. What you store in the app (local data)
Information you choose to enter may include, for example:
- Subscription and expense names, amounts, renewal dates, and categories
- Budget lines, salary, loans, and savings goals
- Assets such as property, vehicles, cash, stocks, funds, and precious metals
- Crypto and NFT holdings (quantities and identifiers you enter manually)
- Notes, receipts, photos you attach, and app preferences
This data is stored locally on your device using on-device storage (for example local databases and secure storage provided by the operating system). It is not uploaded to Drypp servers as part of the app’s core functionality.
We do not require a mandatory user account or email registration to use Drypp.
3. No bank connection
Drypp does not connect to your bank, payment card issuer, or other financial institutions, and does not request banking credentials or Open Banking login.
4. Third-party services
Some features rely on trusted processors. They receive only what is needed for that feature, not your full financial overview.
4.1 CoinGecko (crypto prices)
When you view crypto prices or refresh market values, the app may send requests to the CoinGecko API (or similar market data providers). These requests typically include asset identifiers or symbols needed to return public market prices. We do not send your wallet addresses, private keys, or exchange login details to CoinGecko.
4.2 RevenueCat and the App Store (purchases)
If you buy Drypp Premium, RevenueCat and Apple App Store (or Google Play on Android) process the transaction. Payment card details are handled by the store operator. RevenueCat receives purchase and subscription status information to unlock premium features. We do not receive your full card number.
4.3 Firebase (analytics and stability)
We may use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand aggregated app usage and fix crashes. This may include technical data such as device model, OS version, app version, and crash stack traces. It is not intended to include the subscription or asset entries you store in the app.
4.4 Other optional network features
Depending on your settings and region, the app may contact other services for public data (for example property or vehicle lookups, news, or exchange rates). Only the minimum query needed for that lookup is sent.
5. Why we process data
- Provide the app: show and save the overview you build on your device
- Market prices: display live or recent prices for crypto and other instruments
- Premium features: validate App Store purchases through RevenueCat
- Improve stability: diagnose crashes and errors
- Understand usage: aggregated analytics to improve features
6. Legal bases (GDPR / EEA)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Performance of a contract: to provide the app and premium features you request
- Legitimate interests: to secure the app, prevent abuse, and improve it through aggregated analytics, balanced against your rights
- Consent: where required by law for optional processing; you may withdraw consent where applicable
We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
7. Data retention and deletion
- Local app data: remains on your device until you delete it in the app, use “delete all”, or uninstall Drypp
- Analytics and crash data: retained by Google according to their policies
- Exported PDFs: saved where you choose (on device or your own cloud). Drypp has no access after export
8. Your rights
If you are in the EEA, UK, or other jurisdictions with privacy laws, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to, or port personal data, and to complain to a supervisory authority.
Because core financial data is stored locally, you can delete it directly in the app or by uninstalling. For questions about data processed by our providers (Google, RevenueCat, CoinGecko), contact support@dryppapp.com and we will help where feasible.
You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Norway: Datatilsynet).
9. International transfers
When you use Firebase, RevenueCat, or CoinGecko, data may be processed outside your country. Providers offer safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where applicable.
10. Children
Drypp is rated 4+ and is not directed at young children. If you believe a child has contacted us inappropriately, email support@dryppapp.com.
11. Security
You may enable PIN or Face ID lock in the app. We recommend keeping your device OS up to date and using device encryption.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
